Current Projects
There are several projects that I am working on now but I think the biggest and most current is a musical web series I am writing to put on one of my youtube channels. Inspired by Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog, it's a story about a young writer who can never seem to give her character a happy ending. No matter how hard she tries, things always go wrong. It isn't until she meets someone and finds her own happy ending that her character gets the happily ever after she needs. It's a romantic comedy musical (heavy emphasis on the comedy) that I am having a lot of fun creating.

I am also working on two blogs. One is for young adults looking for good reading suggestions. So far I have all my examiner.com articles on there (I am the Boulder Young Adult Fiction examiner) and I will be adding reading lists and other fun things. The other blog is going to be for college students. It will be a mix of humorous stories and videos and real suggestions of how to survive college. I am really excited about this blog and I have already started writing some of the material for it. I think it will gain a good audience as I know there are plenty teens and young adults out there who want college grade humor that is clean.

In April I participated in what is known as Script Frenzy (the National Novel Writing Month for playwrights, screen writers, and graphic novelists). I started an adapting one of my favorite novels into a screenplay. Though I did not finish, I am still working on it. I am hoping that my experience and love for both books and movies will help me balance out any changes I might make to the story or the characters and help prepare me for a time when I may be doing this for a real production. I am also planning on filming at least some of my adaptation for my youtube channel when it is finished.

Ongoing Projects

I design t-shirt for Hunger Games, a popular young adult novel, fans on Zazzle as well as my own designs on spreadshirt. I love art and I try to use it as often as possible whether it be illustrating my own children's books, making animations, designing templates for my websites, or working on t-shirts.

I am also in the process of adapting Shakespeare's Macbeth into a graphic novel about a wolf pack. Writing and illustrating a graphic novel is a lot like making a movie only in this case the only actors you have to work with are the drawings that you create.
Excerpts
(both of these panels come from different parts of the chapter adapted from Act I: Scene 2)
Note: These images are rough drafts done in an hour or so for my book arts class (we just had to have something to bind for our final). When I go to put the whole graphic novel together and find someone to publish it, I will touch up the images and re-do the ones that are a little off. Also, despite that it is an adaptation, it is still the story of Macbeth and the characters are wolves so the pictures are a little bit bloody.

Aside from Script Frenzy and my graphic novel, I am also doing some other writing. I am working on a science fiction novel as well as a stage play about theater and how it changes people's lives--which could also be easily translated over to film. I am also planning a series of parody music videos for fun and to please those Twilight fans.

As far as theater goes, I am in the process of preparing my audition pieces for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. It is definitely considered a project for I must consider what monologues and music is best for me and will help me to show myself at my acting and singing best. It has also been an interesting experience trying to figure out exactly what goes on a theater resume.

I am constantly doing some little project with writing, art, theater, and film so I will make sure they are included here.
Past Projects
I took a fiction into film class in which we studied some great works of literature and their film adaptations. One of our projects was to get into a group and make some form of adaptation whether it was for stage or screen. My group made a parody adaptation of a couple of the scenes in Pride and Prejudice and set it on our campus--inspired by the Pink Bible version of Pride and Prejudice. The first of three parts can be found on the videos page (all three parts are on youtube).

I have done other video and writing projects in the past. If you would like to see more, please contact me.
